About NRCS Southeast Coastal Plain and Caribbean Soil Survey Region

"MO–15" is short for MLRA Office 15. Quality assurance for mapping of the soils in the United States is conducted in 18 MLRA offices. The areas of responsibility for these offices are based on Major Land Resource Areas.  At MO–15, we are responsible for the Southeast Coastal Plain and Caribbean Region.

Our operations are directed by our business plan.

Our relationships with our cooperators are shaped by a Memorandum of Understanding.

We have a mission. We have a vision. We have a quality policy and guiding principles.

Some of the work we do is planned months in advance.

The United States can be divided into Major Land Resource Areas (MLRAs).

Our area of responsibility is based on the MLRAs in the Southeast and is divided between Soil Survey Area Offices.

There are 17 other MLRA-based Soil Survey Regional Offices in the United States.
