[A profile of an Alpin soil.]The Alpin series consists of very deep, excessively drained, moderately rapid permeable soils that formed in sandy marine deposits. These soils are on level to strongly sloping uplands. Slopes range from 0 to 12 percent.

Taxonomic class: Thermic, coated Lamellic Quartzipsamments
