[A profile of a Cowarts soil.]The Cowarts series consists of very deep, well drained, moderate to slowly permeable soils that formed in loamy marine deposits. These soils are on moderately sloping and strongly sloping hills. Slopes range from 5 to 12 percent.

Taxonomic class: Fine-loamy, kaolinitic, thermic Typic Kanhapludults
