[A profile of a Flomaton soil.]The Flomaton series consists of deep, excessively drained, rapidly permeable soils that formed in gravelly sandy marine sediments on gently sloping to steep uplands. Slopes range from 2 to 40 percent.

Taxonomic class: Sandy-skeletal, siliceous, thermic Psammentic Paleudults
