The Llanos Costa series consists of very deep, well drained, moderately permeable soils that formed in gravelly sediments that weathered from basalt, chert, and rhyolite. These soils are on uplands. Slopes range from 0 to 12 percent.

Taxonomic class: Fine, mixed, semiactive, isohyperthermic Typic Haplargids
