[A profile of a Luverne soil.]The Luverne series consists of deep, well drained, moderately slowly permeable soils that formed in stratified marine sediments of the Southern Coastal Plain. These gently sloping to steep soils are on dissected uplands. Slopes range from 1 to 45 percent.

Taxonomic class: Fine, mixed, semiactive, thermic Typic Hapludults
