[A profile of a Mascotte soil.]The Mascotte series consists of very deep, poorly drained and very poorly drained, moderately slowly permeable soils that formed in marine deposits of sandy and loamy sediments. These soils are in areas of flatwoods, in depressions, and on low stream terraces of the lower Coastal Plain. Slopes range from 0 to 2 percent.

Taxonomic class: Sandy, siliceous, thermic Ultic Alaquods
